For over 30 years, CR Legal Team has remained committed not only to serving the injured but also to serving the communities in which we live and work with pride.
With a true commitment to our clients, our employees, and our communities, CR Legal Team has dedicated significant funds and resources to develop and promote programs designed to enhance the health, wellness, and safety of individuals of all ages. Many of the funds and resources for the programs come from The Roberts Center for Leadership, Education, Advancement and Development which was established by Chris and Kimberly Roberts in 2014.
We are continuing to spring into action by serving our communities in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. CR Legal Team was featured as a Rotunda Sponsor at the Carolina Public Interest Law Organization’s Annual Auction on March 23rd, 2023. CPILO spreads awareness about public interest in the UNC Law community through workshops and lectures with practicing attorneys in fields such as public defense, nonprofit administration, the judiciary, and more. CPILO raises money from the Annual Auction and provides law students grants for unpaid and underpaid public interest internships. The public interest interns are awarded grants with no strings attached in order to empower them with the adaptability to execute the funding to their individual needs. CPILO’s grants are crucial for covering everything from a new apartment’s rental, gas, flights, groceries, healthcare, and more as students are usually required to travel for summer positions. In addition to the grants, CPILO facilitates support via a network for students interested in public service. It also exposes the law school community to public interest law and encourages students to pursue careers in the public sector.
We are proud to be a part of the supporting efforts of the Carolina Public Interest Law Organization and were honored to provide them with $2,500 in addition to our Rotunda Sponsorship.
