Making the Season Brighter: CR Legal Team Sponsors Magical Toy Drive

This December, CR Legal Team is proud to Stand alongside WCNC Charlotte and The Salvation Army as the presenting sponsor of the 25th Annual Magical Toy Drive, a beloved tradition that brings holiday joy to families across the Charlotte area.

For thousands of children, the holiday season can be a difficult time, especially when families are facing financial hardship. That’s why the Magical Toy Drive exists: to help make sure every child wakes up to something special on Christmas morning.

This year, more than 5,000 local families are expected to receive support, and CR Legal Team is honored to play a leading role in making that possible.

A Charlotte Holiday Tradition, 25 Years Strong

This year, The Magical Toy Drive officially launched on November 18 and will continue through Sunday, December 14. During this time, community members can donate new, unwrapped toys at participating Belk locations throughout the Charlotte area.

Since its beginning 25 years ago, the toy drive has helped deliver holiday cheer to tens of thousands of children. The Salvation Army’s 110,000-square-foot Christmas Center on South Boulevard transforms into a massive distribution hub where donated toys, food boxes, and other essentials are carefully organized and delivered to families in need.

This isn’t just about gifts under the tree. It’s about making sure every child feels remembered, supported, and loved during a season that should be filled with joy.

Why CR Legal Team Stands Up for This Cause

Supporting the Magical Toy Drive is a natural extension of CR Legal Team’s mission to provide Whole-Person Legal Care™. That means looking beyond the legal case and caring for people in every way that matters: emotionally, physically, and financially.

As a family-founded firm, CR Legal Team believes in the power of community and connection. Many of the firm’s Team members have experienced personal loss, hardship, or injury. This gives them a deep sense of empathy for others. Their approach to service is rooted in their Core Values: Care Like Family, Listen To Learn, and Do What’s Right.

“We’re honored to Stand alongside WCNC and The Salvation Army to help children wake up to smiles and surprises this Christmas,” said a CR Legal Team spokesperson. “This effort reflects who we are: a Team that gives back, listens to our neighbors, and shows up for our communities.”

How You Can Help

There are many ways to support the Magical Toy Drive this year:

  • Donate toys in person: New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off now through December 14 at collection bins located inside any Charlotte-area Belk store.

  • Join us on Donation Day: On Saturday, December 6, Join WCNC and community volunteers at Belk in Pineville (11009 Carolina Place Parkway) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a major donation drive. This is a great opportunity to deliver gifts in person and be part of something bigger.

  • Bring a toy to Carowinds WinterFest: Visitors who donate a new toy at WinterFest on December 6 will receive a voucher for a Fast Lane pass and a keepsake ornament.

Whether you give one toy or organize a group effort, your contribution helps make the holidays brighter for a child in need.

Standing Together to Spread Holiday Cheer

At CR Legal Team, community service is more than a tradition. Through The Roberts Center for Leadership, Education, Advancement, and Development, the firm leads safety-focused programs like car seat checks, bike helmet giveaways, and injury prevention outreach across the Southeast.

While the Team is always working to prevent harm, they are just as committed to Standing Up for families who need support, whether in the courtroom or in the community.

This holiday season, CR Legal Team invites you to help make a difference. Together, we can bring hope, joy, and comfort to children across Charlotte and ensure that no family is left behind.

Donations are accepted now through December 14. Join the community at Belk in Pineville on December 6 to be part of the magic.
