Be Aware of Your Rights as One Living with Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in both the brain and spinal cord. This disease, commonly referred to as “MS,” is characterized by symptoms of neuropathy, numbness, impairment of speech coordination, impairment of muscular coordination, blurred vision, and severe fatigue, among numerous others. While treatment such as vestibular rehabilitation is available to manage the symptoms of MS, such treatment is typically accompanied by a wide variety of side effects including dizziness, excessive restraint, muscle weakness, and unsteadiness.

The symptoms of MS make it difficult, if not impossible, for someone diagnosed with the disease to maintain a full-time occupation. Both the exertional and non-exertional tasks required of most occupations are impossible to complete with the sporadic nature of MS flare-ups and its accompanying symptoms.

If you or a loved one suffers from multiple sclerosis and has had difficulty obtaining rightfully owed long-term disability benefits, the lawyers at CR Legal Team welcome the opportunity to help you seek the benefits to which you are entitled. Overcoming obstacles can be exhausting, but we have experience in these matters and are eager and willing to stand up for you.
