GREENSBORO, N.C. – July 2, 2012 – CR Legal Team is alerting women who have suffered a stroke, blood clots, heart attacks, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after taking Yaz®, Yasmin®, Ocella® or Beyaz® that they may be entitled to seek legal recourse against the drug manufacturer.
Bloomberg News reported that Bayer would begin settling around 500 Yaz lawsuits. The company has since reported that it paid $142 million to settle more than 600 Yaz cases in the first quarter of 2012. The report also stated that Bayer is only settling claims in the U.S. for stroke, pulmonary embolism and DVT.
The high volume of claims filed by Yaz patients led to the establishment of a federal Multi-District in Illinois to handle lawsuits from those affected.
Brian Kinsley of CR Legal Team ’ cautions, “If you have been affected by a stroke, DVT or pulmonary embolism after taking Yaz®, Yasmin®, Ocella® or Beyaz, you should contact an attorney to determine your legal rights as soon as possible.” Visit www.InjuredByYaz.com for more information or click here to contact an attorney.
