GREENSBORO, N.C. April 10, 2012 – The Young Lawyers Section of the Greensboro Bar Association and the Greensboro Optimist Club are hosting “Child Safety Day” at the Greensboro Children’s Museum on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. There is no cost to participate other than regular admission to the museum. Parents can come to the museum and obtain a free laminated ID card for their children.
With nearly 800,000 children reported missing in the U.S. each year, “Child Safety Day” is an annual event designed to give Greensboro and area parents an extra measure of security. The program gathers child identification data that can be helpful to law enforcement authorities in cases of lost, missing or kidnapped children.
“The Young Lawyers Section of the Greensboro Bar Association is excited to be part of this special event. We encourage parents to bring their kids to not only participate in the child identification program, but also to enjoy the Greensboro Children’s Museum,” explains Nicholas J. Bakatsias, president-elect of the Young Lawyers Section.
