As an individual whose favorite thing is working with people, Phil Kearns is an attorney, group leader, and director at CR Legal Team who truly appreciates and is fulfilled in working with those who share his values and all who work together toward the common goal of helping the public with energy, focus, and singularity of purpose.
Phil received his Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America, his Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University, and graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University. While there he was active with the WMU-Cooley Law Review. Phil is married and has two children, is an avid sports fan (especially football), has spent time volunteering as a youth football and basketball coach, and is passionate about his family and travel. Phil also serves on the advisory board of Uwharrie United Methodist Church in Troy.
He has admission to practice law in North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association. Phil is also a member of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Alumni Association, the Theta Chi Fraternity Alumni Association, the American Heart Association, and the Wake Forest University Deacon Club. Phil has spoken to numerous firms and groups about best practices in legal intake processes, strategies, and procedures and now also consults with firms on attorney recruitment and placement.
